Part of the mission of the Phelps County Development Corporation is to retain existing businesses and provide the support they need. Here are two upcoming opportunities to help businesses to recruit potential new employees and educate current employees on marketing opportunities.

InternNE.com: Showcase your business to college students in this program sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. It centralizes internship opportunities in the state under one site and allows businesses to get direct access to college students’ resumes. It also offers a grant program that may provide grants of up to 50 percent, or $5,000 of the cost of an internship. Get more information here.

Grow Nebraska MarkeTech Conference April 23 in Kearney: This annual conference focuses on technology and marketing for entrepreneurs. The agenda includes sessions on how to use Pinterest, Twitter and E-mail to market your business, plus much more. Keynote speaker former Husker football player DeMoine Adams will speak during lunch on how to “Grow Your Full Potential.” Register by April 18 for the best rate.
