Ackerson Named Rural Med CEO

Dr. Amber Ackerson, J.D., is the new CEO of ruralMED Management Resources and the Executive Director of the ruralMED Health Cooperative, L.C.A.

Ackerson is a passionate advocate for rural health care and has been instrumental in developing systems that empower rural communities. Her contributions, such as spearheading ruralMED’s Women’s Leadership Community Mentorship Program and addressing Nebraska’s workforce shortage through the Governor’s Task Force, exemplify her dedication to rural health.

“I am thrilled to take on these new roles,” Ackerson said. “I look forward to continuing our mission of providing exceptional resources to rural facilities and our collaborative work with Critical Access Hospitals across the state. Together, we will build on our successes and drive innovative custom solutions to meet the evolving needs of our partners.”
