DREAM Grant Helps Restore REC Exterior

Jeremy and Kim Klein have finished a restoration project on their Real Estate Connection building at 421 East Ave. in downtown Holdrege thanks in part to a PCDC GO! DREAM Building Integrity Grant and Signage Grant.
The REC building was covered in a cream-colored stucco that enhanced its appearance and added a fresh attractive look while preserving the building for generations to come. The stucco applied to the exterior brick addressed structural deficiencies in the building.
The work, completed by Kim’s brother’s company Lynch Contracting, involved installing a Sure-wall structural bonding cement over sheet mesh reinforcements and then applying the stucco finish.
