Axios Celebrates 5 Years With New Programs

A local nonprofit is celebrating five years of empowering students to live up to their potential and is adding new services this fall to further help the next generation.

Axios Workforce and Talent Development started in 2020, and more than 1,000 students have learned valuable work and life lessons in the program. This fall, 305 students from schools in Holdrege, Minden, Loomis, and Elwood are participating, and new services will soon be offered.

The program, created by Holdrege resident Alex Mahundi, provides a holistic approach to workforce development through education, faith and collaboration. Axios helps students identify their strengths and connects them with local employers if jobs match their specific talents and abilities.
