PCDC announces planned transition for Tillery, hires new director
July 1, 2025
After nearly 10 years at the helm of the Phelps County Development Corporation (PCDC), Director Ron Tillery will be stepping away in the fall. Tillery took over as PCDC Director in May of 2016 and has been credited with a number of improvements and building projects across Holdrege.
With the news of Tillery’s vacancy, PCDC has also announced Jeff Hofaker as the new director. Hofaker will come to PCDC after spending the last 10 years in Sutton, Neb. as the city administrator. He also spent some time in Phillipsburg, Kan. working with economic development.
As Tillery’s current contract expires at the end of 2025, he will continue to be available to the PCDC board and Hofaker in order to help with the transition. Hofaker is required to give a 90-day notice with the town of Sutton and will assume his new position in the fall.
