PCDC Hall of Fame Banquet Set for Nov. 4

    October 16, 2024

Gov. Jim Pillen will speak, and two local businesses will be honored at the Phelps County Development Corporation’s Business Hall of Fame Banquet on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Holdrege Country Club.

This year’s theme is Phelps Fuel – Feeding and Powering America. Nebraska products will be featured at the banquet.

Holdrege’s South Central Diesel, Inc. and Bertrand’s Cross Diamond Cattle Co. will share the spotlight as the community celebrates the businesses and their impact on the local economy.

“We have selected two businesses with visionary leaders who have worked hard and have invested in the community, making our local economy stronger,” PCDC Executive Director Ron Tillery said.

The banquet will be at the Holdrege Country Club starting at 6 p.m. with a reception and social hour. The meal will be served at 7 p.m. followed by a keynote speech by Gov. Jim Pillen, who will speak about the Nebraska BioEconomy.

Following the governor’s speech, PCDC will recognize two local businesses with Business Hall of Fame awards.

South Central Diesel, Inc. is a three-generation family-owned business headquartered in Holdrege that serves independent repair shops and implement dealers across eight states with a specialized focus on diesel fuel systems.  The business has been selected as the Legacy Business of the Year.
